We seek:
In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, ETI / HQE, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.02.2025 at the following conditions:
- 100% = 39,83 hours
- Pay grade 13 TV-L
- limited until 31.01.2028
Your tasks:
- Development of advanced THz and optical sensor technologies for automated, material dependent disassembly and recycling of electric vehicles as part of the BMBF-funded graduate Research Training Group Circular E-Cars
- Development of self-adaptive, machine-learning supported methods for alloy specific classification of vehicle elements for recycling of aluminium, steel and structural components
- Development, simulation and implementation analyzing of algorithms for robust modelling, classification and segmentation of materials
- Constructing suitable measurement setups for the analysis of the developed sensorics, under the consideration of application specific environmental conditions
- Close cooperation with the participating, interuniversity groups of the consortium and active participation in the transfer activities
- Preparation of scientific publications and reports on results as well as presentations at scientific conferences
- Support in research and teaching, supervision and examination of students and assistance with administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Master's or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Knowledge of German is beneficial, but not mandatory
- Experience in one of the following fields are expected: sensor development, optics, opto-electronics, high frequency engineering or terahertz technology
- Basic knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence/machine-learning or being interested to acquire the necessary skills.
- Experience in the construction of experimental setups, material analysis and solid programming skills are advantageous
- Communication skills, ability to work in a team and interest in interdisciplinary cooperation
- Willingness to travel to a limited extent
