We seek:
In the faculty IV, School of Science and Technology, Center for Sensor Systems, chair of Computational Sensorics, we are looking for a researcher at the earliest possible time and the following conditions:
- 100% = 39,83 hours
- Pay grade 13 TV-L
- limited to 36 months
Your tasks:
- Research collaboration in DFG-funded project "Tomo-Track"
- Self-motivated research in collaboration with the other members of the chair in the area of computational microscopy, tracking of cell clusters, with the aim of further scientific qualification (preparation for a doctorate)
- Realisation of the research project and publication of research results in relevant international journals
- Required Skills: 1. System modeling and optimization using mathematical methods and physical models, 2. Structure from motion and 3D computer vision, 3. Optics, especially microscopy, calibration and characterization of the experimental system, data generation on 3D cell models
- Supporting the chair in organisational activities
- Cooperation with project partners
Your profile:
- Very good Master's or equivalent degree in applied mathematics, computer science, physics or electrical engineering
- Excellent knowledge in one of the areas 1. mathematical modeling and optimization, 2. optics and microscopy, 3. structure from motion and 3D computer vision and a good background understanding in the other areas
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, very good communication skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Experience in designing and setting up experiments is considered a plus
