We are searching for:

In the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, Department of Physics, in the research field of "experimental particle physics", we are searching for a research assistant (m/f), starting on November 15th 2020 with the following conditions:

  • 50% = 19,92 hours per week
  • salary group 13 TV-L
  • until June 30th 2021
Your tasks:
  • To perform analyses in the field of top quark physics with the data of the ATLAS experiment especially in the area of the couplings of the top quark to bosons
  • Participation in data taking at CERN
  • Development of software for operation and readout of the ATLAS detector
  • Supervision of undergraduate students
Your profile:
  • Very good final degree (Master of Science or diploma in physics) in the field of experimental particle physics
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in particle physics analyses
  • Knowledge of C++ and ROOT is an advantage
