We seek:
In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, ETI / Embedded Systems, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.04.2026 at the following conditions:
- 50% = 19,92 hours
- Pay grade 13 TV-L
- limited by 31.10.2028
Your tasks:
- Contribution to the research project WISES
- Develop reconfigurable hardware architecture combining AI accelerators and Genera-Purposes CPUs.
- Investigate optimization algorithms for customizing the hardware architecture for AI applications
- Implementation and evaluation as part of a use case for leakage detection in an industrial environment
- Contribution to reporting and technical documentation.
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of AI/ML methods and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Basic understanding of embedded systems.
- Experience with RISC V desirable
- Familiarity with optimization algorithms are desirable.
- Strong programming skills (C/C++, Python; hardware-description languages “e.g., HLS, VHDL” is a plus).
- Motivation to pursue a PhD and contribute to applied AI research.
- Excellent English communication skills.
