Researcher - Computational Imaging

We seek:

In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Computational Imaging, we are looking for a Researcher as of 01.12.2021  at the following conditions:

  • 100% = 39,83 hours  
  • Pay grade 13  TV-L
  • limited until 30.11.2024

Your tasks:

  •  supporting the chair in its research and teaching activities,
  •  self-motivated research in collaboration with the other members of the chair in the area of Computational Imaging with the goal of preparing a PhD thesis,
  •  realization of research projects and publication of the results,
  •  serving as a teaching assistant,
  • supporting the chair in organizational activities.

Your profile:

  • an M.Sc. university degree in applied mathematics, computer science, physics, electrical engineering or a similar subject,
  • excellent knowledge in one of the areas 1. mathematical modeling and optimization, 2. optics and microscopy, 3. high performance algorithms on GPUs and clusters, possibly Machine Learning, and a good background understanding in the other areas,
  • very good communication skills, both oral and written,
  • curiosity, initiative, competence and independence,
  • experience in designing and setting up experiments is considered a plus.
